INNOVATION MINI GRANTS

Working in partnership with school district nutrition departments, the Farm to School Innovation Mini Grants are growing nutrition and garden education across Georgia.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWEST MINI GRANT COHORT!

Nine Georgia school districts were awarded a total of $42,000 to support projects that create and share equity-centered farm-to-school best practices.

  • Bartow County School System

  • Dodge County School District

  • Fayette County Public Schools

  • Hall County Schools

  • Jones County Schools

  • Savannah Chatham County Public School System

  • Sumter County Schools

  • Treutlen County Schools

IMPACT

Since 2021, over 100,500 students have participated in Innovation Mini Grant activities!

Farm to School Innovation Mini Grants:

  • Increase access to local, fresh, organically grown food

  • Include culturally responsive food and education

  • Include organic and/or sustainability focused garden education

  • Increase local food procurement

  • Benefit Georgia Certified Organic farmers

Each project uniquely addresses local needs and goals. We share project best practices to inspire innovative and equitable nutrition and garden education programs nationwide.
